Kids Shared Bath: Before Pictures

On my to-do list for this weekend is updating our twin toddlers shared bathroom:

Before I get too far along with making changes, I thought I should start by giving you a tour of the bath as it is now.

It isn't bad.  It just isn't anything exciting.

We are doing this project a tight budget, so the shower tile, vinyl floor, and vanity are all staying put.

If you look carefully at the walls, you can get a sneak-peek of some paint colors we have been considering.

And now for the inspiration pics!

Since our kids are sharing this bathroom, I thought it would be fun to pull colors from each of their bedrooms; yellow from our daughter's room and gray from our son's room.  The plan is to paint the walls a light gray/silver and the vanity a darker gray.  Shelves above the toilet will add some much needed storage space.  Add in some new cabinet hardware, a new light fixture, new towel racks and a few pops of yellow and the room will be complete.

I'll be back soon with an update!

  1. this will be cool. i've longed to get rid of our bathroom light fixtures that are just like yours. i imagine we read a lot of similar blogs/sites of info. many people love hooks for towels. i'm excited to see your pics of how it turned out!
